Stand Out

Dear Lords Church,

Since when did the Lords church become like Israel in the Old Testament? Desiring to be like the other nations around them and have a physical king, which led them distancing themselves from God. To nowadays, the church desiring to be like the other denominations leaving God’s Word for man’s opinions. Changing its identity to blend in.

As His church we trust in God and His word, not whatever trend/book that maybe popular in the brotherhood...

At the end of the day we are called to be different…a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; - 1 Peter 2:9

A holy nation because we have been set apart and are dedicated to Christ. “Holy” meaning set apart for the service of Deity. Such are completely separated from the unholy. We belong to God, who is holy. This holy nation is the church. (Matthew 21:33ff) The word “nation” means “a multitude of people of the same nature.” Sadly, this is not what I see when I see the Lords church being caught up in every trend that is popular in the denominational world. We become more like the carnal minded in Corinth pledging our allegiance to writers, preachers, colleges, lectureships and even websites instead of God. (cf. 1 Corinthians 1:10-13)

Remember we are His special people, a people for God's own possession. (cf. Titus 2:13,14) We belong to God, and we are not our own. (cf. I Corinthians 6:19,20) God purchased us.

As His church we trust in God and His word, not whatever trend/book that maybe popular in the brotherhood. Remember without God we were walking in darkness, but we have been called into the light. (John 8:12; Romans 13:12; I Thessalonians 5:5).

So why on earth would we desire to go back to the darkness…?
